Crazy Camel Down the Road

Crazy Camel
was always showing up
in places he shouldn't go,
his excuse was he was meeting
someone he wanted to know,
once he dropped in uninvited
at a private dinner party in Pasadena,
there he ask a woman who was a complete stranger
"Don't I know you." and she immediately said "No"
because she didn't want to know him, yet he still
yelled out "I surely do want to know you."
Yes, she turned him down flat, but you already
knew that, wouldn't you if a character
like Crazy Camel was bothering you like that?
One day Crazy spent the entire day walking
up and down Santa Monica Blvd, until he got
thirsty for some lemonade so he took a quick
turn on the 3rd Street Promenade,
there he watched street performers doing break
dancing and clowns that could make children laugh
and Crazy thought that was great especially when
some women in bikini's started skating around him
on roller skates, by then it seemed to be getting
late and Crazys belly was ready to eat so he
parked his tail at a hot dog stand and placed
a $100 bill into the vendors hand, how many dogs
can I buy with this he inquired and the vendor
replied "As many as you desire."  There were plenty
of dogs to go around to feed every hungry surfer
guy and girl in that part of town, the sun set and
bright lights illuminated the Santa Monica Pier
and Crazy Camel started wanting some cotton candy
and some beer, the ferris wheel was a gorgeous
sight and the music box blasted Elvis singing "Are
you Lonesome Tonite", as the evening progressed
Camel was impressed with a woman that walked by in
a tight red dress, he bought her a beer and they
laughed and talked on the end of the pier, she was
a Japanese tourist who adored Marilyn Monroe and
she was staying in a Motel just down the road, and
oh by the way, she was quite lonely tonight...
