She wanted to cut herself today
She just wants all the pain to fade away

Every tear? She's so sick of crying
Every smile? Holds the truth to what she's hiding

Never believe the words "I'm okay"
In reality they always mean "Help, I want you to stay"

Admitting that fact - Far from none
Coping with the pain, a battle never to be won

Fear for the life held within her hands
Wishing one day, someone would understand

To withstand a pain so gratifying
There's nothing else to do but wait, never satisfying

Wait until those fears become hope
Wait until tears become happiness

However in the end isn't that what we always do?
Wait for a solution rather than being the solution?

At times it seems so much easier to give up
To just look away & say you've had enough

Yet when will it be enough as another life is lost?
How much more blood is to be shed, what is the cost?

Days get quiet and the nights get cold
As the truth in her eyes starts to unfold

The rumors, the whispers, the talk of getting help
All voices she hears are of everyone else

The more time alone, means more time apart
As she's already been roaming with a shattered heart

Agony arises as protection starts to fall
Who will be there, when it doesn't just destroy her, it destroys us all

Voices become reality, as reality becomes pain
She just wants it to be over, the never ending game

The breathing that lacks every inch of motivation
The pain that takes over, having every dedication

The smell, the look, the indulgence, the taste
To go in, then come out, feels like such a waste

To have everything, then nothing at all
To see one rise, then gradually fall

A heart beats steadily in moments at hand
Once again wishing, someone would understand

Not to be afraid of the things that they see
To instead look inside, feel what they believe

Judgment that's passed to quickly among others
Never given the chance, even when beside brothers

To visit the stones that's now our mark upon land
If only things were different, that someone would understand

As days go by and several still cry
Will truth ever be spoken or are we to sit among lies

If only to hear I love you & for someone to take a hand
Maybe, just maybe, for one day finally someone would understand

Instead of waiting until the very last moment
Look inside & ask why you chose it

The words that were said, The hands that were touched
Never realizing until there gone, how you miss them so much

For every last moment wishing you were there
Any last moment, just to tell them that you cared

As she fades away, not knowing if she can
To close her eyes a final time, hoping someone would understand

Words left unspoken, memories that remain
If only to go back to yesterday, where they would've been the same

The tears that fall upon her hands
Buried beneath it all, hoping one day still, Someone Would Understand

I think I would understand, Kate!
Waiting and ignorance is the most unbearable combination. At least it's hard.
And I thought sometimes to give up, but one idea stopped me: I imagined that perhaps in the next life I will have to start from the same ignorance and I wasn't pleased by it. To repeat everything till today - it's too much even for me, although I'm rather patient.

This is an excellent capture of that dark road that leads to an early exit. Found myself nodding.

Thank you Lori & Jimmy, I'm glad you both enjoyed! When people can understand or even more important relate to my poems, that gives me more inspiration to write even more! I enjoy writing, been doing it for over a decade now, its 1 of the few ways for me to express myself without any hesitation!
