It's a friendly place )
And I would like to share with you my poems.
Perhaps they are too private, and it's not a poetry properly speaking. Seems that I use to rhyme my letters. But since I've got no exact address now, let them be poems )
So...

One more breath

Can’t you see why I’am keeping silence,
What is happening on my mind?
I just think it’s a cruel science:
Fighting that you can never find.

Since I don’t understand your reasons,
Why you need me to live apart,
All the world has become my prison,
Such a game I won’t even start.

What’s the point in the way of living
When you’re always ashamed of me?
I’m being haunted by dreams of meaning,
You’re wondering what they mean.

If you guess I’ll impede your business,
Kill your friendship, ruin your life,
Was it wrong and completely needless,
When you asked me to be your wife?

If it’s true you don’t love me, dear
If it’s true you just write me off
How can I still inhale this air
How can I live without your love?

Well, perhaps I could take it easy
For I lived alone anyway.
I could die, but instead I’m breathing,
Can’t forget: you went through the same.

I suppose you are doing better
Even when you don’t let me know,
But in spite of my daily battles
You will never become my foe.

Every time giving way to despair
I can’t take a step on the earth,
Someone holds me, and then I hear:
Draw a breath, baby, one more breath…

Tragedy in loves smoldering remains. You spoke for many throughout this poem, Gale. There are millions who are walking in your shoes. Although very sad, you have begun the shedding of pain in order to continue to breathe the air of survival.

This is a beautiful poem of great heartache.  Whilst I am extremely aware that it is not easy to lift oneself out of this, but just thought that the following little scribblings of mine may help a tiny, tiny bit.

WHAT I AM
8 August 2005

I am not what I do
not what I say
not what I make

I am what I feel
what I remember
what I think
what I love

I am the mist of memories
that I have yet to paint
I am the kaleidoscope
of the world within

What I am not
is the prisoner
you tell me
to be.

Owl

WHAT IS MY NAME?
21 August 2005

My name is not Richard
nor is it Jane.
My name is
me
and I am worthy of
me.

Owl

PICKET FENCE
27 November 2006

He who will not
embrace my thoughts
with honour and grace,
nor let me
lift my eyes to the wide, blue sky,
nor scatter my laughter
over happy days,
nor my tears
on the cold stone nights,
will kill my soul

and I will not
consent
to murder.

Owl

I hope you don't feel that I am meddling.  If you do, I apologise.

And thank you, Owl, for your support and your poems.
I don't think that you're meddling. I see you just try to comfort me )
It's very kind of you.
When I feel myself painted into a corner, I use to read about other people, or watch films, or listen to songs, and it gives me some hope, because people survive their troubles somehow.

Thanks for not thinking that I am meddling.  Yes, it is always good to have a sensible strategy to handle one's pain.  Sometimes one can feel better for at least a short while, and that makes for a good interlude.
