What does it mean to die inside. To be enveloped by feelings you try to hide. To drown in a pool of overwhelming emotion. Deeper than that of any ocean. Gasping for a breath of welcome numbness. To give stay to emotional madness. Is darkness a refuge from revealing light. Or light the savior from eternal night. The screaming truth of what’s in store. Is what we’ve dreamed is nevermore. Drowned in the darkness of eternal night. Bleached from existence by the revealing light |

"The screaming truth of what’s in store. Is what we’ve dreamed is nevermore." Difficult question! But I don't wanna believe it's true. |

I have no doubt people can and do "die inside" It's when that death comes one piece at a time, i.e. hope, peace, will I find it most troubling. It all gets there eventually I suppose, but the numbness ain't all it's cracked up to be. Michael |
