Love me love my daughter You knew the deal going in We thought we knew what we were doing Little did we know what the future would hold Our for better was a for worse But you never once wavered from your place as a father you can't replace Despite resistance to all the love you have to give You have hung in there with my now teenage kid You have sought detente between embattled estrogens Sympathizer to both sides You shore up the Queen and contain the screams And the love you bring day after day that keeps this family keeping on is above and beyond anything I ever expected Happy Father's Day my beloved husband for being the best Dad she's ever had LGR(C)6/16/13 |

what a heartwarming story, in a world where children are disappointed by absentee parents all too often |
