January's jaundice invades anemia drips deep into the marrow I have grown pale in the malaise of Winter my arms in remiss of Spring's greatest arias, now barely a sparrow comes, the songs are soliloquoys of those with affliction once I was smitten, whirling in lavenders, a mistress of love and deception, earning their awe with my seasonal artistry a diva in tulle, doves would surround me, my arms lush with greenery, now fear the greed of the piper yet I stand here regardless in this monochrome still life knowing the seeking have made me their martry for their waivering faith as they pin me with ribbons symbolic reflection to the human condition [This message has been edited by EmmaRose (01-25-2012 10:07 AM).] |

Oh boy. The flu. Sorry. After it is over start taking one 1000mg of Ester-C capsules once a day. At the very first sign you are starting to feel bad immediately take four 1000mg of Ester-C capsules. I haven't had the flu going on three years now since I have found out about Ester-C. ~*~ I gave up feeling guilty just to survive a long time ago ~*~ |

“yet I stand here regardless in this monochrome still life knowing the seeking have made me their martyr” This verse has such depth of understanding Not merely a reflection but a look from inside looking outside, looking in. Really enjoyed this write. JL ![]() Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

If the flu is even partially responsible for a poem like this - I want it too. What a wonderful poem with vivid images. Thank you for sharing and I hope you are feeling better. Alison |
