grab a handful of air cup it with the other hand ah, you've a handful of air if you use your imagination you can feel it using both hands now cup it tighter don't allow any to escape you are holding the essence of life and no matter how hard you try it is impossible not to let it slip from your fingers through the tiniest crack and seeps out of your hand later out of your body the essence of life gone ©June 2, 2013 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame somebody else.-John Burroughs ~*~ |

Great imagery and philosophical approach to life in this, dear Jerry. It's all in the breath indeed, life grasps for air. And in this matter-bound existence it is certainly the essence of life. After that our own beliefs paint different scenes ... but indeed what do we actually know ? My beliefs suggest that the real essence is in the soul, which may be a comforting thought. And it is as impalpable as the air ... Anyway, I think this is precious. Margherita "Love is the One who masters all things; |
