Moonrise A black veil now descends at dusk And nature's face we cannot see And in the woods a trace of musk Pointing fingers on ev'ry tree And on the ground the frozen snow The Diamonds of the Stars reflects Beneath the ice the water flows Each passing day beauty perfects A silver light,a diadem A waxing Love our story told Within my heart a precious gem With open hands my cards unfold And just one sound in Forest gloom The Wolf is howling at the Moon |

"howling at the moon" is a perfect ending to this melancholy piece, Michael. Your descriptive words had my mind whirling to keep up with the poetical expertise. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Very beautiful - every word, every image, every nuance, but that last line was, for me, the most perfect. Owl |
