Bringer of Dawn by Rassouli

***

Imprisoned in time
the portal of peace
remains out of reach,
too often I flow
in the mainstream
of oblivion.

Blind to the whole vision
I walk in darkness
even in full sunshine.
Unless I am touched
by love’s true light
I get lost on aimless trails.

Within subtle sound waves
I expand into timelessness
upon the endless echoes
of primordial tunes
composed by perpetual Creation.

I rise into upper levels
of deep awareness
in a vortex of unbound energy
beyond time and space
into the endless moment.

I expand into timelessness.

The portal of peace opens wide
I am flooded with a light so bright.

Love particles dance through me
in celebration of my connection
to All There is and ever will be
and to You my Beloved
my eternal bringer of dawn.

Aw . . . This is just damn good. The darkness you find yourself in is only temporary as you wait for your "eternal bringer of dawn." It is the last lone line which gives the poem that something special I have become accustomed to seeing in your poetry, Margherita. It is the soul of the poem.

You would never walk in darkness, blind to anything, but hate and fear.
We need your voice too much to guide some of us barely holding on.

At first I thought this was going to be a reflection on "Time taking its sweet time passing," which is what I suffer from, lol.  You have given me a much broader perspective, though, complete with a perfect, timeless destination I would do well to remember exists for us.  Thank you for this.  Beautifully done.

Thank you, dear Jerry, for your kind comment on my attempt to render those special moments when time somehow stands still and we are not affected by our daily challenges, but experience pure peace. Yes, dawn is indeed what I identify as the reconnection with the Light.

Dear EmmaRose, thank you so much for your loving comment. Though it is true, that I always remember the light even when I happen to be stuck in the black tunnel, it still happens to me to experience the feeling of "blindness" to the light and it isn't a good feeling. I enjoyed your words.

Dear Michael, thank you so much for taking the time to read and to comment so kindly. We know don't we, and yet sometimes we tumble in the dark nonetheless. Our fragility is healed by love and I definitely believe that there is someone who never stops loving us.

Thank you, dear James, for telling me you enjoyed this write.

Love and joy and ... timelessness!

See, that's why I though ... Southern Calif! That's the attitude they have ... only, unlike you (and so lucky you)they are totally oblivious to everything! - Except my son, of course, who lives in SoCal!

Beautiful write from the soul, my friend.

Thank you, dear Jimmy, for your loving comment. Yes, we really need to grow in awareness. Living "on the surface" is not our goal I think. I bet your son is a beacon to his surroundings, coming from you.

Yes, and also, though it is, as it is with you, so easy to get caught up in the physical realm with all of its problems, stresses, and such, but, yet, still, poetry (reading and writing it) takes me away to that place of which you write where time does not seem to exist. It's like I'll be on this site for what seems to be a minimal amount of time, and, then, I'll look up at the clock, and....  What?  Where in the world did the time go?  Enjoyed!

No one understands and shares the essence of the source the way you do, Margherita. I suspect you are a very old soul.

Dear Bob, yes exactly! Thank you so much for your kind comment.

Dear Ida, thank you dear, it takes one to know one . I have heard that Pisces are the oldest souls (but with the enormous amount of experiences they risk to be overwhelmed ... they say). Well sometimes ... indeed.

Love,
Margherita

In searching for a particular poem, I found this one and I see I did not thank you, dear Bruce, for your loving comment. It slipped me by. It's never too late, I guess, so THANK YOU.
Though of course you may not see this, I think a little vibration of gratitude will manifest within you nonetheless.
