A skeeter done bit me, but he won't do it twice,
I swatted him hard, and he paid the price,
That there skeeter's a splat, on the back of my arm,
Ergo, that skeeter, has done bought the farm.
Oops, what's that a comin? a full scale attack,
A whole swarm of skeeters, sees me as a snack,
My arms start a flailin, they head for my face,
I figure it's best, that I leave this place,
But I trip and I fall, and as I lay on the ground,
The skeeters rejoice, at the meal they done found.
I commence to a swattin, with an occasional hittin,
But it don't do no good, I keep bein a bitten.
Agin and agin, them bloodsuckers bite,
I ain't none too happy, while them skeeters delight,
In the pain there a causin, the blood that I'm a losin,
One thing for sure, this ain't much amusin,
I finally escape, make it into the house,
And there awaitin, is my dear lovin spouse,
"The Red Cross just called, to let y'all know,
Down to the bloodmobile, you need to go."
I replied, "I'll just have to call 'em, and tell 'em too bad,
"Cause them there skeeters, just took all the blood I done had."

Great! I needed a good laugh today and you laid it on me big time. This is just damn good, and what makes it so good is most of us have been almost in that same exact situation.

Good that we can still make some humour out of it, despite the extremely fastidious situation!

You done a real nice job here! You might want to thank them skeeters for the inspiration, yes?

Your poem was very, very fun and entertaining to read. You're a great story teller! And, also, it flowed effortlessly throughout. I went through it like, um, a boll weevil in a cotton factory.  Very, very easily.

'Bout dem skeeters though, I be so pumped with meds, dey take a smidgen outta me and go off in all kindsa directions! Ha!

Yeppers, I really liked it!
