(Edit: Holy deep fried chocolate Jesus on a stick, Batman! My 500th post!) Nineteen (Deep Blue) Deep blue descending from the wrinkles of the smiles you fake untrue, unending still water reflecting every move you make fingerprints across the edge of the body of night springtime has run so cold only nineteen but you feel too old to ever comprehend the feelings you felt were right in the cavernous silence where he once held you tight you think you might become one with the deep blue descending like the loneliest waterfalls in your dreaming Feelin' feel the water fall all about you now Bright sky never ending from the tender words traded like gold precious commodity drifting across the shadow of wrecked hull you're sittin' not so pretty at the bottom of a darkening sea and he's gliding around the rim of another's glass wandering with a heavenly body of unequal mass you'll fly right past if you could only find an unbroken wing and a just little confidence in anything Spinnin' spin when the lie became the truth now Full moon always sending transmissions to the shape of your soul pure white lingering glistening in your eyes just half past full and blooming like the rarest blossom in the world summertime is running wild only nineteen and you're still a child but old enough to get lost in the heartbreak swirl twisting against the current, surrender flags all unfurled you are the girl of unfathomable loneliness and bittersweet ennui like the darkest valley of your spiriting....away Away... Thinkin' think of the morningside dew now and shine again like you know you could now even with the deep blue descending, there's a chance your love will be born anew and it will be true if you feel it to the hilt, brush over these crumbling walls you've built feelin' the water shine all about you now spinnin' when the lie becomes the truth now on the cusp of the age of twenty take your time, spend your money c'mon, you can take the bees with the honey, oh girl Deep blue ascending from the wrinkles of the smiles you mean it's true and unending let the water flow in every dream you dream fingerprints across the edge of the body of night autumn wind has run so cool only nineteen but you're not the fool never comprehending feelings you felt were right in the cavernous silence where he once held you tight still you think you might become one with the deep blue ascending like a perfect waterfall in your dreaming Water... carving the darkest valley of your spiriting away away almost twenty and it's almost a brighter day. I really liked the depth and imagery of this. Despite the despair, there's a clinging to a thread of hope that does much for the piece, as well as says much about your person. Donkt ever lose that hope. I only wish I shared such optism. Michael |

Congratulations on your reaching 500! It's a big deal! It really is! Though I wasn't as an accomplished poet as yourself, I still remember how Excited I was to reach that milestone. 500 x 500 OK, OK... back to the here and now... Sooo, yeah, how you are able to express the or get into the mind of a young girl here of nineteen descending / ascending in your poem is almost, or maybe it actually is, Supernatural... Yeah, that's it, your poem, to me, is Freaking Supernatural Amazing! Again, Congratulations, Congratulations on your reaching 500! Enjoyed! |
