Sometimes I sat there to reflect a while Each mirrored arch a circle made The bridge where once the trains had run Why did you go,could you have stayed And lone swan on the water swims Where mills of old and waterwheel The cotton spun and yarn to tell And chilling wind no warmth I feel But sometimes in the whispered wind I hear your voice my name to call The sun now on the water shines But as before the leaves will fall And sometimes in the Autumn mist I see you dance upon the lake The echoes of our words of Love The sands of Time will never take And sometimes grief a waterfall And sometimes bright I see your smile And sometimes Love within your eyes And sometimes I just rest a while Another day reflect again This pool so dark no life within As lone swan swims beneath the arch The other side new life begins And truly as the Lake reflects A circle seen as if it's true A band of gold a circle too Reflects my Love,so true, for you. |

thanks suthern this refers to a lake near home with a now dis-used raiway bridge running over. The bridge has a number of arches, and the sun sets behind the bridge in the evening. Michael |
