. All the long drive You’ve been difficult Making things hard It’s Friday night And I’ve bought tickets To the theatre For one of your favorite performers In a pre-emptive attempt To assuage another of your moods Out of the ladies room You’re now completely changed Phone in hand invited to a party You’re sure will be fun And of course we’ll go So there are stars in the sky The moon again is permitted to shine And this is not the way in any way I ever understood as a boy For a man to live . |

I enjoyed the depth in this Huan Yi. Sometimes the moods change so quickly. It's surprising to me how much we come to know those around us, and how their behaviour shapes our own. I enjoyed the pondering this brought forward, nicely done. ![]() Best wishes, /Kit |

. Thank you both This was written in the character I was in a dream I wanted to remember. Most of my long narrative things these days come from those briefly real worlds. Thanks again John PS "Oh—Vivienne! Was there ever such a torture since life began!—to bear her on one's shoulders, biting, wriggling, raving, scratching, unwholesome, powdered, insane, yet sane to the point of insanity, reading his letters, thrusting herself on us, coming in wavering trembling ... This bag of ferrets is what Tom [Eliot] wears round his neck." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vivienne_Haigh-Wood_Eliot . [This message has been edited by Huan Yi (05-17-2013 06:29 PM).] |

"Bag Of Ferrets," Ha! Thank you for the added narrative. I can certainly see more clearly how the woman in your poem could easily be interpreted as such. Enjoyed! |
