Rare Vintage A trace of wine upon your lips A promise oh so red A hummingbird your nectar sips The words of Love unsaid And sunshine rays within the blonde A smile deep in the blue Your eyes that shine when I respond To kisses oh so true A fleeting touch against your breast You turn with lips apart The coming night,no sleep,no rest The rhythm of my heart Through wine now low,see firelight glow A promise to fulfil And to that place I'll take you now No breeze and curtains still And were there times I did not care Love's candle burning low I see my soul in mirrored stare Our Love did never go From spring's first Love, our Maypole dance And summer's warmth to grow Was Autumn time, just mist or trance Love's winter pure as snow |

Michael, how wonderful that I get to be the first to comment on this poem. Thank you all for waiting for me! This makes me think of a Crayol box of love. I am infused with color and passion. I so love this poem. Alison |

Through wine now low,see firelight glow A promise to fulfil And to that place I'll take you now No breeze and curtains still And were there times I did not care Love's candle burning low I see my soul in mirrored stare Our Love did never go How beautiful and romantic... Some things take time... and are worth waiting for. *S* |
