The night would never be the same, Since first the time to me she came, From welkin's depths I first espied, Upon the winds of eventide, A vision rare, a gem divine, Shining glory crystalline, Perhaps a comet from afar? It was not, t'was fair Ishtar. I was but a herder poor, Tending goats in days of yore, She pierced my heart and stole my soul, A mortal man, her life my toll, Love was fleeting in her eyes, As she soared to nighttime skies, Left behind a lupine wild, Human once, but now reviled, Chased by hounds and herder's stone, Despised by man, now roam alone, Gazing up to evening's star, Gazing up to fair Ishtar, Goddess of love, goddess of war, I cede to thee Ishtar, my love forevermore. Ahh, Tim I have my own thing with my own Goddess and I understand this goat herder and his hopeless love to a Goddess who rules among the stars . . . ~*~ I know a guy who's addicted to brake fluid. He says he can stop any time. ~*~ |

Yeah, I enjoyed this lesson a whole lot more than what was taught in Astronomy. Thanks for sharing. |
