Dreamless She is alone, as night often finds her. Sleep once again, off on a holiday. The night is silent. She wishes her thoughts were as well. Words and images flood her consciousness. Amisdt the confusion; him. No surprise. Within this darkness, anything can be. She conjures up images. Scents. Sounds. Tears fill her eyes. A silent scream consumes her body. The night becomes darker still. His words float in and out of her thoughts. The good, along with the not so good. The bad...she keeps at bay. This life is not for the faint of heart. That thought makes her laugh out loud. Yes..."LOL." She knows her heart. It's her head that betrays her. Logic and love do not go hand in hand. Nor do pain and love. Always on the outside looking in. What a cruel joke life can be. Yet, still she loves. How could she not. For to forsake this love would mean death. Not death of the body. Death of the soul. So, there she lay, unable to even dream. |

A common enough situation most every one can relate to. You wrote about the grey area of our thoughts and injected just enough reality that many of us, as I have mentioned, can interact with your words. ~*~ Jokes about German sausages are the wurst~*~ |

"Dreamless..." You take us through the experience, the tugging, the torment, the consciousness, of being so very well. Enjoyed! |
