your come-on look
sky-high-heels beating out a tattoo
on my brain
luring me toward your walls of flesh
making it perfectly clear
nothing is more important than amour
among the mighty oaks
enchanted, the forest uses the whispering wind
to touch our souls
sensuality taken to new heights
poets have carved their undying love
on the trunks of the towering oaks
the forest
with its unseen eyes watching
waiting and sniffing
for scent of the intruders
behind the eyes are simple survivalist
survival their only instinct
death they fear not
for they think of it not
survival and prolonging their tribes existence
as we merge
a spine-tingling shadows
makes my lover's earthen borne lustful flesh
completely absorb mine
the sounds of the forest
unheard of until this moment
comes alive; rustling within the shadows
flying things, earth-bound centipedes
grass and a cooling wind
as we lick our bodies
into a saliva-induced sheen
while in the stream beside us
fish ogle
the world is left behind
all that matters
all that can possibly matter
is the merging of two fleshly beings
as the weeping willow does its thing
and the shadows keep still
watching two lonely bodies become
as one . . .
beneath the canopy of the mighty oaks

Ah, love and nature go hand-in-hand, and you've captured it well, Jer.  This sent me on a trip down memory lane to when I first met my Linda and we spent the weekend at Dome Rock, and then the Sequoia's.  Nature has a magical quality.  Enjoyed this.

Ah, affaire d'amour! Hey, you know it's gotta be good, as your poem is good, and, especially, out in the woods whenever 'fish ogle'!  Enjoyed!

I love the primitive raw feel to this, the combination of nature and desire

Thank YOU, Emma, primitive raw was exactly what I was striving for. So glad you understood and approved.
