almost daily especially on the early morning walks with Zoe I walk the neighborhood and think of you thinking of you gives me a glad feeling and turns the ordinary scenery into a landscape of romance near the end of our walk we come to a little graveyard with all its sorrowing names etched in gravemarker stone sometimes I sit beside these graves musing about the abyss the dead leave behind don't you go and die on me you whisper in my ear the sweet breath of my woman delights my heart I stretch out among the flowers staring at the mesmerizing blue sky for awhile, Zoe on one side of me you on the other for a long time now and I'm so grateful you come to me at times such as this I know you’d like to be here in the flesh, as would I eh, but circumstance prohibit that I sigh, Zoe sighs in sympathy I stand and we three, Zoe, you and I walk together 'neath ancient trees back to The Hovel ©April 4, 2013 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ I tried to catch some fog. Yes, I feel blessed in so many way. I never thought things would happen as they have since I gotten older. Thank you, Bob, for contributing to the comment section. ~*~ I tried to catch some fog. I mist. ~*~ |

Yes indeed, E, it was a lovely walk, made all the more grandiose with the inclusion of her joining with me and . . . That made it perfecto. ~*~ I tried to catch some fog. I mist. ~*~ |

I read this yesterday and can truly say it left me feeling envious... which is probably a good thing... so much of what I read hardly moves me at all these days. I didn't reply because I don't feel I relate well to the feelings you exhibit in this piece... the overall satisfaction, but I realize how unfair that was being to you, Jer, and I apologize for the silence. I hope "envious" is acceptable for a way your writing made me feel. I definately enjoyed the read. Michael |

Hi, Michael. "Envious" is a good way to describe the emotions you felt as you read "The Walk." I consider it a supreme compliment. ~*~ I tried to catch some fog. I mist. ~*~ |

Ain't it grand when something so simple brings an avalanche of joy? I like, I like |
