from the backwoods of her thoughts she wasn't as bright as she thought she was she spoke unconvincingly, but ugly couldn't even fool herself do as I say not as I do her mantra I learned to answer her with all my pre-teen wisdom my words garnered me ass whippings supreme I never learned to keep my mouth shut and roll with the punches she cast a giant shadow and sometimes I hid inside it not for long the furnace of hell made me leave ©March 27, 2013 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ I tried to catch some fog. That she-devil will give you words to write in the dust of your own ashes my friend. Your hurt and anger are elegant here. Lori |

I guess it's our challenge in life to forgive but somehow it's hard to think that they don't know what they're doing or didn't know as the case may be. I wish you peace. Helen |

Thank you, Helen, and you are right, it is in our nature to forgive, and I have forgiven everyone I know that needed forgiving, including myself, but I can't forgive her. ~*~ I tried to catch some fog. I mist. ~*~ |

You are right about the sad song to sing, Emma, but every so often I have to sing it. Thank you so much for your very kind words. ~*~ I tried to catch some fog. I mist. ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (04-06-2013 09:21 PM).] |

Yeah, I've got my unforgiveness issues as well, no need to go into it, but, anyways, at least you've touched a bit on it here, and, unfortunately, it seems those who have wronged us are never made accountable, at least in this life. It's like they don't even know or care or whatever, whatever ... and, yeah, we, on the other hand, even though we do forgive, like I have, live in, at least occasional, torment over what they've done. I can relate. Really, I'm sorry about your relationship with your Mother! Good poem. Enjoyed! |

I'll never forget. Much too much had hardened my heart. It all started when I was a tiny tot. It is pester me until I draw my last breath. Thank you for understanding. ~*~ I tried to catch some fog. I mist. ~*~ |

Fine writing...I had some issues with my parents and sometimes it good to read of others life situations to put things in perspective...for example the poor souls that were involved in the sad events of the Boston Marathon...James |
