Sonja Could Play

Sonja could play
the cello
while she was
eating jello.
I would spoon feed her
to keep her playing for me
cause playing a cello
uses up lots of energy.
I loved the sounds
of her sweet cello
and she was
very fond of me
so she would play
her music
from her vast repertoire
that lived in her memory.
Sonja, dear Sonja
eat your jello
and play your cello
for me
and when she grew weary
of playing she would
sing and dance joyously.
