What's a man to do when love is gone? Perhaps it is not gone, but rather concealed for now. Let's say, for instance, that it is in wait for the proper time that it is to be released of it's antiquated shackles. How long must a man show patience for that which he desires, or more accurately, requires to be whole? Days, weeks, months, years; all passing in a series of moments and failed connections with the next spark that lights a fire within. A fire that is able to be extinguished sooner than it was lit, leaving one to inquire why such an event was allowed to transpire. Is it wrong to loathe loneliness, or have such need for another? Not a need similar to that of a child for their mother, but akin to a need to share the beauty of life. To grow with a person, and become as one. To want to be wanted. To need to be needed. Would you say it is a curse on mankind to want the affection, admiration, and a genuine concern of a kindred spirit? I'll tell you now, it is a blessing once attained, but fragile like a china doll. A picture paints a thousand words, but one careless stroke can bring to ruin a truly inspired work of beauty. The heart, though strong, must be handled delicately. For to whom much is given, much is required. So again i ask, what's a man to do when love is gone? If it is now gone, then it has been found once before, and therefore should be sought out, until aquired once more. Carpe diem, boys and girls. Make your love extraordinary. |
