A gentle scent reminds me.
In eddies, in flows, it surrounds me.
I dream — look long and away
Until seeing you and having nothing to say
except hello — I seize upon some flower, some part
I love, and say — You see —
This is where I begin. This is where I end.
This is where I am at last and for a time. And in that span
I hold you with density of interest.
With volume of affinity. You who can never end.
Whose beginning was before mine.
From non-existence you rekindle me.
I pray you do not look away. As I had done.
