Beautiful hands, reaching out to touch unfathomable distance, to hold onto not something but everything. To feel the excitement of my heart (or the heart of the world) with your hands clasped around it. And when your hands slip, you'll grasp tighter, harder, and my breath will grow laboured and my head faint until we fall (and the world fails). But falling is only a slipping out of reach, a short distance in an eternity built on strength. And your beautiful hands will touch my soul and learn to protect my heart and you'll lead me along the path (I won't fall and we'll caress the world in both our hands and we will never fail). |

Very constructive poetry, Dawn. Even if the hands began to slip, there can be, and are, adjustments made in order for the love to complete its mission. Nice work. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways . . . ~*~ |
