While the song of a whip-poor-will
sings in the marsh of the night;
Raindrops fall upon a windowsill
singing  lullabyes of summer moonlight.

Sun-dried leaves perfuming the air,
within rustling of the autumn winds;
The bouquet of a breeze within your hair
and a tranquil mind and spirit within.

Crystalline snowflakes falling to the ground,
as they pirouette in the night alone.
Sycamores wear their sparkling white gown
within the ember of the nights cologne.
While serenity is a robins egg
hatching within spring flowers sown.

Nothing but pure, unadulterated beautiful poetry, Victoria. Everything about it spoke of beauty and life.

Jimmy...Nice weather indeed...it is very cold here but the sun is shining. Good luck with your gardening as spring is almost here.

I have lots of tulips and crocus and hyacinths, too, that think it's spring. We've had such a crazy bit of Jan. and Feb. This morning at 9:15 the temp is a mere 34 degrees, sunny, with a spattering of clouds threatening to cover the skies.The more southern sky is sporting sunshine, though.

Your poem seems to have traversed the seasons in rapid succession.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
