The stage is awash with lights, The time is almost midnight, All the world's; Who said those words? Shakespeare, yes; but it's absurd. All of our lines having been writ, To make a neat, proper fit? The Bard penned many a line, This one did spoil like bad wine. ©January 10, 2013 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

I will have to try a trimeter...seven syllable poem. I usually write the iambic pentameter. Good one Jerry...Enjoyed ~Victoria [This message has been edited by Victoria (01-30-2013 07:29 PM).] |

Yeah, I write the trimeter often, Victoria. Thank you for being here and commenting. I used to experiment with different styles of poetry than I do these days. Getting old and set in my way I guess. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

JP, you'll never be set in your ways. You'll get an itch soon, and just to be obstinate, you'll scratch a difference into your poems because you just want to. Enjoyed it, Sir! |

Hah! I hope you are right, Karilea, and that I will continue to be little whacked out when it comes to my poetry. Thank you for your time here in my corner of the Blue Room. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
