The ethereal and then the concrete. The first titillates the imagination the latter paints a clear and succinct view that still grabs the mind.
I did find myself wanting the last word of the 2nd piece to be in the past tense, but maybe that would be too finite for your intent. What's your thought?

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Dear Virginia, thank you so much. You have a point there with the past tense, but I thought the wonders reveal during the ride and endlessly though.

No end to the wonders of Universe, will we ever arrive to the point when we can say "we know it all?". That's difficult to imagine ...
