Intelligence I did meet, Upon the road yesterday, He turned back and did not greet, And left me there, fool to play. What of me did he perceive, I watched his back and I frowned, The fool to play; one to grieve, Or a sad drum beating clown. My face lit up with a laugh, What 'ere he though mattered not, I tipped my hat in my behalf, Laughed again at such a snot. © December 26, 2012 / Jerry at Bolton ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Sometimes things are not as they seem, but intuition is best kept close at hand especially when you meet “such a snot”. Enjoyed you write, Jerry. Good to see you again. JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

Yeah, you're right, JL, play it as your intuition tells you to. Thank you for stopping by. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Welcome back Jerry, missed having coffee with you every morning. You were always the first one here. Yep, people are all in another world these days with their Iphones and their texting. They dont know what is going on around them. ~Victoria Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs. |

Glad to see you back, Jer, and rhyming too. Sometimes old intel ain't all it's cracked up to be. There's many things we think we want to know, even have to know, but when we finally do know only regret. I think I'd much rather be blissfully ignorant, to the point of not even noticing if intel's passing me by, at times. Sorry for the jaded outlook, this poem took me back to one of those ill fated chance moments of my own I think. Welcome back, bud. Michael |
