Her dress had a small angelic touch to it the way the argyles on each cathedral use to stop and stare change their faces from a gothic time to an angels stare She wore her dress for the love of a man came and went but the love of a man came towards her small red ankles Her red lipstick that shades the woods and let her trees feel her ease so the dress that she wore angelic, for the frills of a man came at the peace of a solemn use of the water the river that ran by her like the strangers that lost their bridge for the heart of a woman never lost her dress never did she wear it unless the night brought his firm, battered hands towards a still painting of a woven neck that staked itself against the lake of a shadows plank |
