Pink Umbrella Walking on the sidewalk I could see her from a distance wearing her pink raincoat and holding a pink umbrella. I was only in my shirt but who knew the cold rain would come pouring down so fiercy in such a short span of time. As we passed she took pity on me and said "Get in here." as she pulled me close to her under that crazy pink umbrella. After a nice introduction she told me she knew a place to dry off and enjoy some refreshment, so we stopped in a club where we shared some time, bratwurst and German beer and even a glass of wine. From that first encounter we progressed to rendezvous, this French Canadian girl and a young American boy living in Germany for a season. No one fell in love, we only lived and enjoyed the moments; picnics on the lake, hikes into the forest where we would find old abandoned castles, good food and fellowship shared together, and sometimes we would be under that pink umbrella staying dry while we talked and laughed and looked fondly into each others eyes. That is what life is all about enjoying the moment. This is sweet James. Enjoyed as always. Next time I see a pink umbrella I'll think of you. ~Victoria |

What a sweet and exciting adventure from a pink umbrella! I could see, smell and taste Germany...wouldn't mind going there some day. The poem was wonderful, simply enjoyed. Happy New Year! |
