Winter by Nathan McCaskey There you are again In from the north Like a furious wind Leaves are all gone Ground is all frozen Ice is forming Like a frozen tundra For you can freeze Make it snow Make the wind howl And frost my nose But you will never Take what is inside The flames that stay with me That burn passionately inside For they are hot And run very deep My burning desire The warmth on my cheek In no time You will be gone And I will listen To birds singing love songs Leaves will be greener Grass will be longer The sky will turn bluer The gray will be gone And you will be back Once again on a mighty wind I will be here laughing At you again The flame of passion Still burning below Winters fury Can never chill me again I found my true love On a cold December night So your frost Mr. Winter It just has no more bite.... |

I really like this nate, lovely words. You should show this to Diane too, win her over with your poetry. ~Victoria Life is a great big canvas-Throw all the paint on it you can. |
