And so comes the time as if we could control the state of their affairs, anymore than we could summon the sun on whim they are off............. as written on both wind and wave we can only bid them farewell from afar and wish them Godspeed, upon the many miles of the prophesized flight |

like your words they too have distance to cover, resting on occasion on pupil pools of embrace and welcoming.. hoping your thoughts always meld through the sky to reach familiar havens that hold soft, and smile.. |

Beautiful, EmmaRose! The most exquisite words, in my humble opinion, are: as written on both wind and wave and the most heart-warming (brought tears to my eyes, that you can love them so much that you let them go with your blessings) are: bid them farewell from afar and wish them Godspeed Thank you for loving the ducks (geese?). I believe that your loving prayers reach them and lend power and strength to their wings. Owl [This message has been edited by OwlSA (01-03-2013 12:38 PM).] |

Oh yes, a real life portrait of migration. An empty nest, of the most noted kind. I really like this. TD |

I once saw 100's of ducks take-off all at once from a lake while I was living in Montana. Something to witness how quickly the lake emptied. Enjoyed your write. Thanks for the memory revisited. ![]() JL ![]() Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

Nature and it code of living and dying for all of its inhabitants is just about the most awesome thing you could possibly dream up, but this awesome thing goes on each and every day by rote . . . ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
