Cities are less high than our love when we walk our kisses as small ruffled doggies in avenues wider than maids. The voices of the passers-by are cats that we would like to caress a few seconds, before cars crush them, they are mysteries which bring out their claws. It is better to hide in our apartments, in our beds which speak all the languages, I returned of Mexico a kiss which plays the guitar and bites iguanas, My sadness jumped into a taxi, as a madman, spoke about your eyes crushed by a reckless driver, cities are less high than our love, they wait that we cherish them and striking, As these planes which take off from airports and go out of my heart without ever returning... |

Yann, this is so sensitively and exquisitely beautiful and rich – every word, every line, every metaphor. I love it (except for the cats being crushed or the iguanas being bitten, but I understand that those things aren’t necessarily actually happening in the poem, and I understand the important role that those parts play in the poem). Yet, the poem is so excruciatingly sad, that it scrunches up my insides and leaves me breathless and motionless. Its ambiance and images will remain with me long after I have pressed Submit Reply on this entry. Owl |

Your poetry always shows how sensitive you are to the ways of the world, yann. That's what makes a poet. Ida |

I love the lines "the beds that speak all languages and also the planes that fly out of our hearts without returning." So very true. Loved it! ~Victoria~ Love: A temporary insanity curable by marriage. by Ambrose Bierce |

"In our beds which speak all languages" Great line that. You have keen perception. I could almost a sax crying as I read this. Nicely done. Michael |
