Nine times out of ten I'll wake up with tears and a sad song in my ears for all the bygone years. I wish I could miss you some. But it's not you I cry for, the mornings are quiet and I can't see you in my eyes for my heart to tie it to anything I've ever loved. I wish I could miss you some. I remember this feeling from so long ago though I thought it was gone but now I know. I don't want to go back, but I do want to come to my old life before you. I wish I could miss you some. Oh, Dixie, I do so understand the words of this poem. I understand it, my friend, because I have felt the exact same way, and have written about it, but in those days I didn't have the fortitude to say it like you did . . . quote: ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

'I wish you'd go away so I could start missing you now'--that's what I should have thought, but never did. I like the way you word this one. I never would have come up with it, but it resonates strongly with me. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

Wishing you could miss someone if only to find yourself again... the person you were before them... yup! I know that one only too well. ((hugs)) Michael |

thanks everyone it hits me a little funny that I haven't seen my husband since the 15th and I am really not missing him like I thought I would maybe I'm just having too much fun with my girls, who knows |

Getting away is cathartic, my friend, and so is returning home. You're re-newing the bucket of remembrance by being where you are (catching up on the missing) which, if you were back to 'before' quite possible would never had happened. Not 'missing' the husband, unless you hate him anyway, is the comfort zone in your relationship, and as it should be, all other emotion presently revolves, as it should, around the family you with right now. enjoy you . . . I do... j. |

why long for longing when complacency is much more comfortable... and safe? |
