Your name is a restlessness, a stabbing pain, an unforgettable warmth. I've tried to forget (I'm trying), and yet each time I hear your name I burn and memories overwhelm me. I wish I could see you and smile and we'd be friends, old friends, good friends. But we've kissed and touched and cared and I've maybe even loved you, so when I see you I burn. One day when I'm in love again and free again, then on that day we'll smile (and maybe laugh about today), but for today, I'm burning and I'm crying and when I see you, I want to run (both into your arms and from your arms). |

I understand the sensations you describe herein with the sweet/sour poem of an ex-lover. The hurt lingers for a long time. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Its hard to become a friend to an ex lover going from calling one darling to calling him by his first name. I would rather move on. Nicely written. ~Victoria~ |
