You apologize as if ashamed of your work worn rough calloused hands You worry they hurt me with course caresses on tender bare You forget it hurts me to see the abuse and neglect you put upon them that pains you You forget that those hands are the ones I long to have reach for me That want to touch me just because I am within arms reach Hands without thinking seeking fleeting sensations of affirmation that my skin still delights in each connection with you LGR(C)10/27/12 |

A touch, rough-hewed or as smooth as silk, if you are touched in a loving way is all that matters. I have a feeling he has that special kind of loving touch. Lucky you. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Lori, interesting use of sensual stimulus/response to reach inner human feeling...in search of special oneness with another...beautiful poem. RV |
