when i was young i wrote no poetry tho it might have saved my life in the intervening years i have wandered wide trying to find that lost life and now knowing still not where to find it i must try to relax into the slip-slide of decline and hope to free the shackles and the shrouds just enough to feel the day and the chasing night find a few words to tell the tale pointless as it might be to leave at least a reflection in the passing waters before there is no one left to look down upon it |

Oh, Krawdad, pointless it is most certainly not, because there is all of us to leave it for. I never miss a Krawdad poem that is there when I am in Pip, because I know that all of your art is real and beautiful and poetry in its highest form. Owl |
