I see from the back of my conscious mind time spinning by like a top each of its glass panels decorated with the imoral idols of future, past and present I feel alone numb wrapped in hipster challenged frocks staring at the wall of my eternal indifference which I etch random notes to prove my own existence I am a conservative Christian republican who can think inspite of the lies to the contrary Jesus and Reason carve my psyche colors my hands and feet and tongue I wonder as the top begins to spin faster will I even care about this or that or become a eccentric hermit and spout my prose to cats as I become lost in a whirl of fantastic insanity I remember events time photographs etches in God's eyelids things both beautiful and those so heinous I wish I cool wash my mind of the horror stains I preach and wonder I listen and read and wonder where time has spun off too why am I stuck while others have adapted all so well become part of the mind borg I am here all alone watching the different panels of time change from present to past to future smell the half dead lily in my cracked flower pot and fall deep asleep |

Here's to the conservative mind that wrote this challenging (to yourself) poem, with plenty to think about. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
