![]() The train rails tried, to tie down progression Across a scape of land and lush But sometimes the farther forward we go the closer the ward of our state goes back Tracks of our mind always have two sides The beauty of choice is being able to, decide We should always be able to come or to go To stops where honesty is unpopular, but safe Where the standing of our body is immune, of limitation Under blue skies clear of confinement Shining on diversity safe, from servitude All across, our notion And the leeway and latitudes where reign, is free Where we can hear harmony of our own, accord And where the math of justice always equals, equality A declared nation in dependence of liberties Let that be prerogative and let that, be so As this is the oxygen, a just spirit, must breathe When sometimes the only thing left, is our rights No one can be loose when another’s, held down And so I continue under shades of uncertainty The beauty of naked hope glistening, in my wake Draped behind curtains of my calling, to live free Tethered by cloud I keep high, above me |

Can't say that I followed everything you opined, Richy, but one thing came out loud and clear and that I agree with . . . "to live free." ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

living free...It means so many different things to so many different people. For me it is feeling like I always have a choice and a say so and someone else's choice and say so can't take advantage of me. I enjoyed your poem and picture very much lori ![]() |

I have been reading you lately.I think you took a leave of absence for a while.Good write as only you can do it. thanks. Tethered to a Star When I was young, I sometimes felt that I was tethered to a star, that did not seem to wander far. I visioned one day I'd be free, and wonderd of my destiny with my luck, stuck in some tree. Still tethered! jo perry /latearrival March 14 2006 |
