Thanks to the internet I can stand in front of your house Whenever I want to which is not often It’s not hard to imagine how unhappy I would have been alone there with you In that squat single story two bedroom Wooden frame with its dark front windows Almost needing no blinds I look up and down the street it’s pretty much The same Somehow in the scene one hardly As if in a hurry to be leaving as soon as possible Notices if there are any trees Perhaps there are flowers I’ll bring some The next time I’m around A small bouquet A little symbol for remembering what could Have been to lay upon your door . Cool, my friend. My wife works as a floral buyer's assistant and she DARES me to buy her flowers!!! One thing less for me to get her. Candy now . . . that's another story!! j. |
