Palm up, take my hand With thy promise of grand dreams Entwine these fingers and if you were to believe in me, what might the treasures be that we uncover… like Adam and Eve anew to the sense of love's first kiss would we know then Eden's bliss… all gifts I would gift to you for I see pleasure in your smile, I see walks of many miles, I see... fantasy in the gifts I give to thee Bless me with your smile, take me in your embrace, grant me the kiss of you, from your princely face thus your gift you give to me Strength in awesome love's command ~ God, sweet mercy's touch chide me not for these my dreams but carry me forth on tide of beams bear me up high to the clouds transport me up, to the land of proud for you would have this all of me this I give most graciously cans't thou see the truth of me in these, thy words of love Ah my dear, dear heart, come and take my hand, it reaches for you, cross this chasm wide nay I can not, will not hide this smile upon my lip, but would feel thee with this, my fingertip when As grand is our promised dream Entwined forever ~*~ 12-29-00 revised slightly 12-30-02 |

quote: These four lines size up this lovely poem perfectly. Your reaching out with Palm up is such a beautiful vision you have given the reader. This poem is mystical in its continuing quest for another hand to clasp your Palm up . . . ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

I've not seen haiku coupled with prosaic poetry before, it was a pleasant experience I adored the haiku interludes greatly, but all was wonderful to read...the epitome of "Sunshine" I'd say. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
