in the half-mournin' of dark
I go to my illusion
waking to near longing
for the collapse of my getaway
I shan't
bury my dreams
and my secret plans
they'll turn out to be
my thoughts evermore
and down them I'll drift
in the light of my dreams
all of my wishes
for me to see
even in their pretend
again and again
it all means to me
my dreams
need not be pretty
for them to come true
for I know a secret
it's for sure that I do
and its all about dreams
and not letting go
but dreams can be a river
pulling you beneath its flow
oh stop! I fear the secret
will make my deep down low

Hmmm...deep down low...
sounds like the dream-mare I had last night...not exactly a nightmare, but certainly not a dream I would want to find in real life...

Yep, I have those dreams these days more often than not, Karilea. Like you say they are not exactly nightmares, but more of an . . . er . . . unsettling dream. Thank you for stopping by.

Nice writing JP~ Not sure what your secret is and I am hoping you don't get pulled down or carried away.... but not letting go of our dreams, (the good ones anyway) are part of the magic that sets our hearts free.
