Circling the Sun

"The sun is love. The lover,
a speck circling the sun"...RUMI

Once in a public place
I ask my secret lover
for a kiss...
and she said no,
what if somone was to see
your lips upon my lips,
what would they think
what would they say,
so my secret lover
told me to put my kiss away;
so I sighed
and looked deep into her eyes
and love was flowing
from her to me like a river
flowing into the sea,
the river and the sea
becoming one
like lover's
circling the sun.
