Under the spell,
black widow webs on the wishing well
my carcass stretched from east to twilight west,
making my escape,
and y'know, I was eased to the precipitous edge
of your dream landscape

The dinosaurs that dot your snakeskin highway lines
every day seems like they're givin' me the evil eye
colorful midnight shapes formed from the dragonheart
beautiful and unnerving, I'm left Napoleon Blownapart

You got them
mysterious ways oh and
and they stay all day
like a thunder cloud
oh and I have no doubt
not with you

You sip your
sienna sundown tea and
fix me in one place
nightgown maps so silky
leather skin taut and milky
and undoing the lace

There is a wide-eyed stupid stare
I've plastered on my face
yeah it's been there
all throughout the day
and into the summer night,
numbing my sense of feeling this way
with your pheromones twirling
in and out of the light

The metaphors that cut through the gauze of your mind
every night seems like they're fueling my storylines
sinful, wishful blue eyes wandering your curvy coasts
so sweet and lithesome, your infinity spins like a ghost

Under the spell,
dusty star skylanes blazing with jet trails
my heart cools on windowsills of twilight east
planning my mistakes,
and y'know, I was pleased to be subtly teased
by your dream landscape.

You know soul drifter, you blow me out of the water every time!!! There is just so much to like, your choice of words is exquisite, every single thought is beyond me. I love the emotional edge you put into every verse and how your poetry not only moves me, but it thrills me in so many ways. I swear it's hard to breathe when I read you. It's an added bonus that your poetry reads like a song with so much feeling. I mean I actually like stroking your ego, err I mean your poetry. Ha! I mean that in a good way. But it's true, I can't praise your work enough. Your poetry is magnificent, and you are truly a joy to read.
