Across The Span Of Time (Part-IV) Copyright 2012 by: Mark V Sheldon Suddenly, you’re on the stage I’m playing keys, you’re all the rage Our song’s a hit! Glad we didn’t quit! People dance, the liquor flows We took a chance, now sold out shows Our song’s a hit! Glad we didn’t quit! Winking at me with your smirky smile Blowing you a kiss across the mile Ain’t we got style! Who would guess that you and I Would make the press and black & white Our song’s a hit! Glad we didn’t quit! I wake up to the echo Your voice fading away The room I’m in, I don’t know But here, I cannot stay Confused, I look around me What is this ghastly dream? Where are you? This cannot be!
