IN MY OPINION 11 September 2012 Killing simply because you are afraid of a person or animal is the act of a coward, a wimp, a murderer. Calling someone an itch with a b, a cow, a pig, or a snake if the person warrants criticism, is an insult to female dogs, cows, pigs and snakes. Owl, you are so wise. I feel this way every time I read what a few write out in bold letters on facebook. A place I use to share friendly thoughts to family and fiends. A shame to see such demeaning words. I spend a bit of time there just deleting posts left by a few whoseem to have a lot to learn. jo |

Martyjo, please don't misunderstand me and please see the same humour I saw (as I am sure you will). The first time I read your reply I read what you meant, and was formulating the reply in my mind that my fingers were going to type . . . but then I read it a second time and read that you said that you were communicating with "family and fiends" and I erupted into giggles! Isn't it funny (though here it was "funny haha" it is usually "funny strange") in every sense of the words, how one letter (character or epistle) can change a friend into a fiend or vice versa! Now, to stop the giggles and sad pondering about the above, to answer what you meant! I agree with you wholeheartedly. I don't understand how people can't just get angry and stick to the point and try to heal what is wrong instead of being insulting and throwing mud and involving multiple issues and doing what I call "the peanut butter thing" - that being, for example, if you ask somebody what day it is and they answer with "peanut butter". When that last thing happens, I don't know how to continue a meaningful conversation with him/her. Thank you for thinking that I am wise, but this last thing I haven't figured out. To me it seems to be so much simpler to say "This is what is upsetting me" and elaborate on that and for the other person to listen and respond sincerely and not defensively. So much would be healed so fast and so well if people could listen with their ears and talk with their heart, flavoured with the spices of altruism, kindness, compassion, and reason. Thanks for your reply martyjo. Owl |

Diana thanks for pointing that out to me. You could have thought I really meant "fiends" instead of friends because some people do act like that. I go by the old rule that if you cannot say anything nice be quiet. In this case put in the words if you cannot type anything-nice stay off the site. LOL gave me a few giggles also. Wish I had caught that. best to you, jo |

Thanks for seeing the humour, martyjo, lol. I am glad you didn't notice the "fiends" before you posted your reply, because you would have edited it and I wouldn't have had the fun and giggles. Owl [This message has been edited by OwlSA (10-13-2012 09:02 PM).] |
