The Differences that Exist Between Two Dreamers

I thought about you last night
and now I'm missing you today.
For a season you fit nicely
into parts of my dream,
that is until you moved away.

Today you seem especially far away.
In thoughts you are with me,
in body you are missed;
your smile, your lips
the taste of your kiss.

Oh well, this is a part of love
this is a piece of my life.
Dreams don't match perfectly,
every one has their own to pursue.
I'll always be thankful I could share
a part of my dream with you.

"In a relationship, we can pretend to be
the same, but there is no way that can happen.
There are two dreamers with two dreams.
Every dreamer is going to dream in his own way.
That is why we need to accept the differences
that exist between two dreamers, we need
to respect each others dream...

1999, page 57.

Getting philosophical here, huh, James? Nice writing.

Very touching.  It made me remember...
