Miss Emily is a delicate wisp of antique lace And everything that age has left her with is testimony to grace Her hands so soft and frail stil posses a graceful daintiness Her eyes are like the weather upon the landscape of her face Some days are cloudy But when her sun shines bright you are God blessed to whitness a smile sunrise across her face And should you be so very lucky as to be within the soft circle of her weary whispered voice when her wit is waltzing you'll be delighted to dance with Miss Emily LGR(C)1994 |

Beautiful poem, Lori, you painted a life-portrait of Miss Emily that will stay in my thoughts for some time. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (09-09-2012 12:46 PM).] |

thank you Yann, I like to think of it as a "portrait" piece. I did one for my grandmother I'm still waiting for it to find me. Lori |

I've had such a dance before... with ladies Miss Emily would know well... and each step left memories that sweeten my life. Beautiful tribute to an amazing lady! *S* |

You know, I see my own young Ms Emily growing up to be this very embodiment of woman. Enjoyed, my friend. |

Thanks Margerhita for the wonderful compliment. Thank you Southern, I'm glad you could relate so well to this piece Sushine, I can only hope that when I'm as old as Miss Emily was, I'll have half the grace (and marbles) she did Lori |

Lori: these two moments caught me: Her eyes are like the weather upon the landscape of her face and: within the soft circle of her weary whispered voice Creative expression and indeed, a "living portrait"... As has been said: "It's ok to grow old, as long as you never grow up..." -MVS You CAN make a difference, but first you should learn how: |

Many thanks MVS! And I am a firm believer in playing with one's innerchild. Silly is highly under rated. As is laughter, I might add. I'm glad you enjoyed one of my personal favorites |
