Where Have You Been All My Life

I know...
you were falling in love with yourself
while I was trying to find myself.
You were spending summers at the French Riviera
when I was following the sun.
You were modeling dry raincoats on Sixth Avenue.
I was walking in the rain and getting soakin' wet.
You were the woman taking the elevator up the
Eiffel Tower while I was taking the stairs down.
And you were the woman that only brought one half
of her heart to Honolulu and left the available
part of her heart in Chicago.
