Cinderella Sweeping Up

Cinderella Sweeping Up

After the ball
Cinderella had to clean up,
her sisters made sure of that,
seems they had made an agreement
with the King to clean
after the ball,
but it wouldn't be them
doing the cleaning
it would be Cinderella
first thing in the morning
as the sun came up
she was hard at work
sweeping up the mess
and her silly sisters
never imagined that the Prince
would be looking for a woman
that fit a left behind slipper.
The Prince was insisting that every
woman in the land try on the slipper
that he held in his hand.
Cinderella's sisters answered the call
but the slipper didn't fit them at all.
Alas, Cinderella's foot was a perfect fit
and from her head to her toes
a perfect match for the Prince.
