Motorcycle Hit Man He's a motorcycle hit man thats what he does everyday and everynight, sometime he might have you in his sight. Picture this, you stop at a red light you lean over to place a kiss upon your sweethearts lips when a motorcycle pulls up right along side and he's pointing a forty-five right at your head and the lights still red, what do you do, I'll tell you what you do, step all the way down on your gas pedal I don't care if the lights red or green pull away as fast as you can while your lady screams and ducks as quick as she can, take a right as quick as Peter Pan this is no time to prove you're a man, now the motorcylce hit man is mad as hell luckily he didn't shoot you but he's right on your tail and he's still got that gun lest you forget, this time you'll get away but the motorcycle hit man will get you yet. I enjoyed your poem, James. Whilst I agree with you in one sense (about "now is not the time"), in my humble opinion, rushing away as fast as you can in these circumstances IS, in fact, proving you are a man - of wisdom, sense and especially of bravery in not being afraid to do what what is right and considerate and what to others with a smaller brain and less wisdom, common sense, logic and consideration would be very afraid to lose their macho image. Pull out your own weapon of choice and take his head off. You do have a weapon of your choice, don't you? Call it macho if you will, it gets you out of a situation, where if you run you'll just take the bullet in the back. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Well, James, I almost got out of breath for the intense suspense and feeling of danger you render in this poem. Certainly remaining calm and act quickly seems wise, but we can only pray that this never ever happens to us. There are too many scaring people around. I was once followed by a madman who didn't have a gun but showed with his fingers the intention of shooting at me, just because I had surpassed him. I still remember my effort to remain calm, trying to ignore him but driving as fast as possible to gain distance ... one really never knows what can happen in the traffic. You did a good job here. Thank you Owl, Jerry, Margherita and Startime for the wonderful responses...I suppose I've been watching to many action movies lately, however a situation happened to me many years ago while driving North on the San Diego Freeway, I looked to my left and their was a young man driving along side me pointing a gun at me, I simply turned my head forward and kept driving, at that point he increased his speed rapidly and was gone...James |
